4 Week Level 2 Course
The package for the 4-week level 2 course differs slightly from the 10-Week instuctor course package. If you opt to take it as a stand-alone course the 'Included' section is the same as the above but work experience and the avalanche awareness course aren't options - it's very much intensely focused on training towards your NZSIA Level 2. Please enquire via e-mail or telephone to discuss whether the 4-week course is suitable for you if you are choosing it as a stand alone option.
Not included
Flights
Avalanche kit
A snow shovel, probe, avalanche transceiver and ski pack are included in the avalanche course however some people choose to buy their own backcountry equipment. It's really a personal choice.
Ski equipment
We have arranged discounts at the local ski shop which make buying any new equipment in NZ the obvious choice. You'll also benefit from great service and only having to carry your skis on the return leg of the journey!
