5-week ski instructor course

Designed for intermediate skiers who wish to gain their Level 1 qualification whilst dramatically improving their own skiing. This course adds an extra two weeks of improvement coaching to our very popular 3-week ski instructor course.
The Coaching
There are five hours of coaching, four days a week. The first two weeks will be spent as part of an improvement programme focusing on your personal needs and our instructors are flexible to your demands so if you have something you really want to work on just ask and they will be more than happy to help. Our instructors are carefully hand picked for their coaching experience and knowledge of the local terrain. They will develop your all-mountain technique, teaching you on the piste, through moguls and crud, down tree runs and in the powder.
On the third week you will move onto instructor based training where you will develop your technical knowledge, communication and teaching skills and detection and correction methods. The Level 1 exam is held at the end of the 5-weeks.
Our groups are small and personal with never more than eight in a group; guaranteeing individual attention. Each week the instructors alternate between groups ensuring you gain from their individual teaching styles and the collective knowledge of the whole team.

Video Analysis
The coaching will include regular video analysis and improve your skiing on the piste, through moguls and crud, down tight tree runs, and in Canada's famous powder. This a great way to help identify areas of your skiing that need development.
Benefits of Instructor Training
Training to become an instructor has huge beneficial effects on an individual's skiing as it forces a technical approach to the sports, allowing focused analysis of mistakes to produce quick responses. Many of our clients choose to come on this course not with the specific aim of becoming an instructor but rather to gain a technical knowledge of their chosen sport. It is widely recognised that taking the level 1 course is the single best ski lesson you can take.
