The Red Tree Lodge
We are proud to be the new owners of a 42 bedroom lodge in the very centre of Fernie. The lodge, which underwent an extensive refurbishment through the summer of 2007, has a comfortable, welcoming atmosphere and fantastic facilities. Breakfast and supper are served at our adjoining restaurant which is also open to the public and known as one of Fernie's premier restaurants.
The Lodge has some fantastic facilities and we are confident that we are offering the best accommodation of any instructor training course. Please see below for details of the facilities on offer...

Kitchen Facilities
We recognise that at the weekends a few of our guests may want to cook for themselves. Additionally those wanting to save some money might prefer to prepare pack lunches rather than eat at the restaurants on the mountain. We therefore have created a communal Galley Kitchen which is fully equipped with microwaves, hobs, ovens, dishwashers and all the cutlery and cooking utensils you will need to cook up a storm. If you are staying in the lodge you will have a fridge in your bedroom to keep your food in (without fear of it being raided!).

Bar & Restaurant
With a wood burning stove, plenty of comfortable sofas, dining tables, a well stocked bar and fantastic food this is the heart of the lodge. The restaurant is open to the public and serves dinner and breakfast for all our course participants. Our restaurant has quickly become one of the most popular places to eat in Fernie.
One of the main reasons we purchased the lodge was to take control of the meals we include in our course. With a team of professional chefs, who get to know our course participants, we now have the capability to offer consistently fantastic meals - in a warm and homely atmosphere.

Hot Tub & Sauna
Yep, that’s right…no ski lodge would be complete without its own spacious hot tub and ours is no exception. So after a hard day skiing powder you can loosen your muscles with a sociable steam in the sauna and soak in the hot tub.

Movie Theatre
Films are good - especially after a hard days exercise on the mountain. We have therefore dedicated a whole room for watching movies. With a massive flatscreen TV and rows of comfortable sofas this is the place to sit back, unwind and enjoy an evening in with a good film.

Chill out in the rec room
Games Room
It’s good to have a few beers sometimes but it’s not cool to disturb the peace - especially the night before a powder day. Our Games room is away from the lodge bedrooms so those that want an early night won’t get disturbed. With a pool table, table football, sofas, tables and chairs it’s designed for when you’ve had a late evening at the bar and aren’t yet ready to hit the hay.
Internet Access
Our aim is that your course in Fernie is one of, if not the best times of your life. But however much fun you’re having it’s still important to keep in touch with friends and family back home. And how could you survive with out a regular session on Facebook! The lodge has free broadband wireless internet for those bringing a laptop and we also have three 'public' computer stations providing free internet connection.

We wanted to ensure there are plenty of communal social spaces in the lodge where our clients can meet and socialise, chill out playing cards or watch a DVD. There are several communal sitting rooms spread throughout the lodge.

Ski & Snowboard Tuning Room
If you want high performance it’s important to keep your equipment in good shape. We have a room dedicated to tuning your skis or snowboard with tools and supplies for waxing, edge sharpening and gouge repair. Each of our courses includes a training session on how to tune your gear so you get the most out of your skis or snowboard.
