BEDROOMS

The ski lodge has spacious bedrooms each with brand new modern furnishing, queen size beds and ensuite bathrooms. Each bedroom has stunning views of the local mountains and some have private balconies. There are a variety of bedroom configurations: the majority of rooms are twin rooms (two double beds), some are triples (three single beds) and a select few are quads (two bunk beds).

SITTING ROOMS

We wanted to ensure there are plenty of communal social spaces in the lodge where our clients can meet and socialise, chill out playing cards or watch a DVD. There are communal sitting rooms spread throughout the lodge each of which has:

• Comfortable sofas and armchairs
• Cable TV & DVD player
• Wireless internet

SWIMMING POOL & HOT TUB

Yep, that’s right…no ski lodge would be complete without its own indoor swimming pool and spacious hot tub and ours is no exception. So after a hard day riding powder you can loosen your muscles with a few lengths of the pool and a sociable soak in the hot tub.

RESTAURANT & LOUNGE

The lodge also has its own 100 seat restaurant and bar. We have designed this space with a really comfortable homey feel so that it becomes as popular a space to read, play cards and socialise as it is for eating. With a wood burning stove, plenty of comfortable sofas, dining tables, a well stocked bar and fantastic food this is the heart of the lodge. The restaurant is open to the public and serves dinner and breakfast for all our course participants. Dinners are three course meals with a soup or salad starter, a hearty healthy main course and a tasty dessert. Breakfast is a continental buffet after which our buses take you to up to the resort (7 min drive) for another day on the snow. Our restaurant has quickly become one of the most popular places to eat in Fernie.

One of the main reasons we purchased the lodge was to take control of the meals we include in our course. With a team of professional chefs, who get to know our course participants, we now have the capability to offer consistently fantastic meals - in a warm and homely atmosphere.

INTERNET ACCESS

Our aim is that your course in Fernie is one of, if not the, best times of your life. But however much fun you’re having it’s still important to keep in touch with friends and family back home. And how could you survive with out a regular session on Facebook. Our internet area has computer stations and a high speed internet connection.

MOVIE THEATRE

Films are good - especially after a hard days exercise on the mountain. We have therefore dedicated a whole room for watching movies. With an overhead projector and rows of comfortable chairs this is the place to sit back, unwind and enjoy an evening in with a good film.

KITCHEN FACILITIES

Although the food served in our ski lodge restaurant is both delicious and filling we recognise that at the weekends a few of our guests may want to cook for themselves. Additionally those wanting to save some money might prefer to make a pack lunches rather than eat at the restaurants on the mountain. We have therefore installed a well equipped kitchen dedicated for your use. This room has become another popular space in the ski lodge where people can socialise.

SKI AND SNOWBOARD TUNING ROOM

If you want high performance it’s important to keep your equipment in good shape. We have a room dedicated to tuning your skis or snowboard with tools and supplies for waxing, edge sharpening and gouge repair. Each of our courses includes a training session on how to tune your gear so you get the most out of your skis or snowboard.

Although we have a large locker room at the base of the mountain this room also has ski and board storage lockers for when you bring your kit home.

MESS ROOM

It’s good to have a few beers sometimes but it’s not cool to disturb the peace - especially the night before a powder day. Have you ever come back from the pub and thought that you were whispering and quietly tip-toeing around the house, only to find out the next morning that you were shouting and crashing around? Our mess room is away from the lodge bedrooms so those that want an early night won’t get disturbed. With a table tennis table, table football, sofas, tables and chairs it’s designed for when you’ve had a late evening at the bar and aren’t yet ready to hit the hay.
