Split-boarding with snowmobile access

Yesterday I went snowboard touring/snowmobiling with some friends (who also happen to instruct for NONSTOP Snowboard). We drove out to Harvey’s Pass, fired up the sleds and drove for about 20 minutes until snowmobile power had to be replaced by leg ache. Actually touring with split boards is A LOT less tiring than snowshoes so Ryan, Jay, Ben and I quickly left Aubrey way behind panting his way through the deep powder on an old pair of snowshoes. We did two climbs to the top and enjoyed what was without doubt the best powder turns of my season. Deep (and I mean bottomless deep), light and steep. It had it all.

We even found a nice cliff to drop which felt good. This is Aubrey…

Ryan charged this opening so quickly that the spray of snow was left in the air for what seemed like minutes…

Here’s my ‘NONSTOP’ split board…
