The new venue for the NONSTOCK Festival 2010
I’m stoked to have found such a unique spot for this year’s NONSTOCK festival. When we started the festival three years ago, one of the central concepts was that our past participants should be able to reunite with friends in a stunning countryside location. We felt that a weekend partying in a field combined with new experiences doing outdoor activities was a far richer experience than a night out in a city bar (most of which people forget!).
The new venue is right on the edge of the River Thames just upstream of Reading. This stretch of the river offers refreshing wild swimming potential, perfect for wiping away any party-induced grogginess you might have. We have plenty of space for camping, a fire pit, barbeques, frisbee, volleyball, football etc.
Although our old venue in Devon was awesome, we’re happy to have found a much more central location which is easier to access and that’s also rural and atmospheric.

As for the music… People often tell us that they were surprised at the standard of bands playing at NONSTOCK. It’s cool for us to hear that people like our line up and for us to beat expectations. We feel that although the primary reason is to hold a reunion party, the music is next most important element. Each year we’ve had bands that also play at Glastonbury, Secret Garden festival, Bestival, etc etc. Watching these bands perform with your mates and a few other NONSTOP participants is a rare opportunity.

I can’t wait to party with everyone in September (10-12th) and if you want to get involved in the organisation side of the event let us know (0207 720 6500).
