Hack time

Ok, so this may be a slightly strange blog post for a ski and snowboard blog but it’s something we like a lot and that I’d like to share with you.

Kemari

What I’m talking about is playing hack - the ’sport’ where you keep a hacky sack or footbag from hitting the ground - similar to doing keep it ups with a football.  It’s one of the best games you can play on the beach, waiting for the train/plane/bus, in the park or during your lunch break at work.  In fact at the NONSTOP HQ in London we have some of our best work related chat while playing hack at lunchtime. It’s a super fun break from work and a great way of loosening your legs and back after a few hours at the computer. Check out this video of someone who’s a fair bit better than us (all the music is him beat boxing):

Hack is super fun and its also simple as there are only 3 rules:

  1. You can’t “self serve” - i.e: you start the game by throwing the ball to someone else in the group
  2. No apologies. You can’t say “sorry” for making mistakes.
  3. Ideally you shouldn’t hog the hac, but pass it on, however it’s very tempting to show off for a bit!

That’s it really. We buy our footbags from Kemari (www.kemariworld.com). Get out and play!
