NONSTOP Instructors Help In The Community

NONSTOP ski and snowboard instructors, from the Fernie course, took part in a community day at the Wapiti ski area in Elkford.

This is a small resort that relies on the local community to support the upkeep of the hill. NONSTOP wanted to give something back so we offered to provide ski and snowboard instructors to teach the children in the local area. Those instructors that took part also really benefitted as they got to put into practice their new found ski and snowboard instructor qualifications.

Being able to actually teach kids to ski or snowboard was a hugely rewarding exercise for all the NONSTOP instructors that were involved. To read a first hand account click here.

The contribution that all our instructors made was greatly appreciated by those that attended, in fact it was such a hit that it made the local newspaper!

At NONSTOP we are always keen to support the local community in projects like this and it is something that we always aim to do; the benefits for all involved are obvious to see.
