Will It Ever Stop?

We’re pleased to report that Fernie just keeps getting dumped on! This has truly been an epic season so far, and that’s even by Fernie’s envious reputation.

Dave, NONSTOP’s Operations Director took this picture while skiing in Fernie last week. Check out the resort website for other ridiculously snowy people: www.skifernie.com

Fernie has received an incredible 835cm of snow this season which is 3.5 times what Jasper’s Marmot Basin has received (237cm) so far. Of course the main benefit of Fernie’s massive snow fall is the happiness and ‘stoke’ that it brings any skier or snowboarder lucky enough to enjoy it but there is also another important side effect – our clients’ rate of progression. When there is this much snow it allows our participants to really push their skiing or riding to new limits, far quicker than they could do elsewhere. We are fortunate that Fernie’s snow and challenging terrain contributes to ensuring our ski and snowboard instructor courses deliver such a rapid rate of progression for our clients.

With this sort of snow its easy to see why so many people are choosing to ski or snowboard Fernie these days.
