Fernie 11 Week Ski and Snowboard Instructor Course ‘05 – Week 1
The 1st week!
The story so far…
Most of us arrived after our long flight from the UK tired bur looking forward to the weeks ahead. We traveled down to Fernie to meet up with the other seasonaires who had been here for a week or two ready to hear of the great conditions.
Unfortunately as we arrived the temperatures have risen so more British than typical Canadian weather at the moment. Things are not all bad though having moved the timetable to suit we traveled to Kimberley about an hour away for three days of great skiing. No powder at the moment but spirits are high and all the seasonaires are getting to know each other and form good relations with their instructors.
We took in the local Ice hockey game and cheered on the Fernie Ghost Riders but it was on to the pub to fire each other up to hopefully to hopefully the week ahead and some improved conditions onwards and upwards.
