Internship Opportunities

THE NONSTOP INTERNSHIP

We run skiing and snowboarding improvement and instructor courses in Western Canada and New Zealand. The family-owned company is run by four full time employees in the London office.

The internship is a non-salaried position but on completion of the internship the candidate is awarded a free place on one of our 11-week ski or snowboard instructor courses. This placement includes all the components of the course that a paying client would receive but excludes travel insurance, flights, spending money, lunches, weekend meals and ski/snowboard equipment. The intern will benefit from the experience and training of working in a small, dynamic and rapidly growing organisation.

By the end of the 6 months the candidate will have a good insight into the working of a small business. The internship provides an excellent opportunity to develop a wide range of transferable skills ranging from marketing, administration, website development, project management and customer service.

The internship will run from 1st July to 24th December 2010 and the instructor course will start mid January 2011 and end in early April 2011. The successful candidate must be a keen skier or snowboarder who shares the same passions for the mountains that we do. All applications are to reach us by 25th May 2010 and interviews will take place at our offices during May/June 2010.
All applicants should be bright, hard working graduates with strong IT skills and a good telephone manner.

TERMS OF INTERNSHIP
Dates: Approx. 1st July – 24th December 2010. Monday to Friday (9.00 - 17.00) and occasional weekends (e.g. ski shows and preview days)
Location: Unit 3B, The Plough Brewery, 516 Wandsworth Road, London, SW8 3JX

BENEFITS
Completion of the internship will result in a free place on our Fernie 11-week course worth approximately $13,280 CAD (Guideline Price: £7,011). This includes all aspects of the course, including coaching, accommodation and meals but excludes flights, travel insurance, spending money, lunches and weekend meals or ski/snowboard equipment. RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist in day-to-day running of the office
• Answering incoming calls
• Assist in development of new websites
• Upkeep of existing websites
• Assist in mailing out promotional material
• Respond to brochure requests
• Database management
• Attend trade shows and school fairs
• Assist with client correspondence
• Analysis of marketing statistics

REQUIREMENTS

• Graduate
• Keen skier or snowboarder
• Confident telephone manner
• Good IT skills, including competence in the use of Excel and Word
• Excellent written English
• Good communication skills
• Enthusiasm, initiative and a sense of fun
